Guerlain L'Initial EDP representsthe thrill of discovery, the adrenaline, the willingness to jump in and dive into a new mystery, with a rich Floral and Oriental blend dominated by Iris.
Guerlain L'Initial EDP was created in Spring 2020 and is a modern, fresher version of the Guerlain classic Shalimar from 1925 and Shalimar Parfum Initial from 2011.
The composition was created by master perfumer Thierry Wasser and features a rich floral bouquet and skin musks, for an unusual and bewitching essence.
L'Initial EDP is a rich fragrance where the dominant base permeates each layer with a dense and bewitchingly emotional sensual essence dominated by a Vanilla and White Musk accord. The perfume begins with a fluffy, warm and with a dense caramelly citrus. Fresh essences of Bergamot and Orange tempered by Jasmine whilst hints of Caramel and Almond come through from the base.
The heart is a rich powdery blend of Turkish Rose and soft waves or Iris Pallida. The base is soft and sensual with lashings of Vanilla, paired with Tonka Bean, Caramel and Almonds , given depth and meaning by Patchouli Oil and White Musk.
